Top Food and Drink Apps in Madagascar Q3 2024: Performance Overview

In the third quarter of 2024, Madagascar's food and drink app market showcased notable trends, particularly in terms of downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the performance of the top five applications in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

McDonald's saw a gradual increase in weekly downloads, starting from around 658 in early July and peaking at about 1.4K by the end of September. Weekly active users, however, experienced a slight decline from approximately 12.9K to just over 10.2K during the same period.

Zomato: Food Delivery & Dining also experienced a positive trajectory in downloads, beginning with around 601 in the first week of July and reaching a high of 1.6K in late September. Its weekly active users remained relatively stable, averaging in the mid-40K range throughout the quarter.

Swiggy: Food Instamart Dineout demonstrated a similar pattern, with downloads increasing from approximately 398 in early July to a peak of 1K in September. Active users witnessed a slight fluctuation, maintaining a range around 17K to 19K over the quarter.

Blinkit: Grocery in 10 minutes showed a modest rise in downloads from about 315 to nearly 800 by the end of September. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly but staying close to the 8K range.

Lastly, foodpanda: food & groceries experienced a steady increase in downloads, beginning at 265 and reaching over 600 by the end of the quarter. Active users saw a gradual increase, maintaining a steady presence around the 18K to 19K mark.
